Our Wedding Ceremony will be held at the Walt Disney World Wedding Pavilion at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
The Reception will also be held at Walt Disney World but we're going to keep the venue to ourselves for now.
We will have transportation available to collect and return all of our guests to and from their accommodation, anywhere in Orlando. The transportation will also be on hand to get us from the Ceremony to the Reception.
We will be in Orlando from April 26th - May 9th.
The Wedding will be held on April 30th and we expect to host some welcome events from April 27th and potentially some after the Wedding as well.
You are more than welcome to arrive and depart whenever suits you best.
To get to the Grand Floridian Resort, you can take Disney Transportation to the Magic Kingdom and walk (20 mins), grab a MinnieVan or Uber direct to the Resort or carpool with other guests. We will ask anyone with free space in hire cars via the Facebook group.
As part of our event, we will have a coach available to return everyone back to their accommodation at the end of the night. Disney has told us that the coach can drop-off anywhere in Orlando, meaning you won't need to worry about Ubers/Taxis on the Wedding Day!
The coach will also be on hand for anyone wishing to leave the reception early.
*No, we can't take the monorail instead... I've asked.
We do have a Room Block arranged with Walt Disney World. You can read more about it on our Hotels page.
Our arrangement includes one hotel from each of Disney's resort categories: Pop Century (Value), Caribbean Beach (Moderate), Grand Floridian (Deluxe).
You do not have to use our Room Block but it does offer an approx 20% discount compared to Disney's public pricing.
If you stay at a Disney Resort without using the Room Block, please send us your booking confirmation so we can include it in our Block to meet our required nights booked.
Orlando's weather in late April to early May is typically warm, sunny, and starting to feel tropical - a beautiful time for a Wedding!
Daytime highs: Around 28–31°C & Evening lows: Around 18–21°C (64–70°F)
It’s generally warm but not as intense as the summer months.
Sunshine: You’ll get plenty of sun — this period averages 9+ hours of daylight.
Humidity: Starting to rise, but still more comfortable than peak summer (July–August).
Orlando begins its wet season in May, so:
Late April: Typically drier, with only a few brief showers.
Early May: You may see the occasional afternoon thunderstorm, but they’re usually short-lived and localized.
No risk of hurricanes this early in the year.
Gentle breezes and very little extreme weather.
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate plus ones. Only guests who have received an invitation are able to attend.
We're already asking you to join us in Florida, so we won't be expecting any gifts - your presents is present enough!
However, if you do feel inclined to get us a gift, we'll put a registry together - but no pressure at all!
We figured after asking you to fly half way around the World for our Wedding, we wouldn't restrict you and your style!
There is no official dress code for our event, we would just recommend wearing appropriate Wedding attire that you're comfortable in and won't cause you to overheat - we'll be in Florida!

The short answer is, no! You won't be required to have any theme park tickets to attend our Wedding.
If you'd like to join us during any of our planned days, like visiting a theme park, then you would need a park ticket to join us.
YES! Once we're closer to the Wedding we're going to turn our Facebook group into more of a forum where anyone can add posts with questions, photos and anything else!
We want everyone to be able to chat and follow along on eachother's journeys whilst in Orlando!
Our Room Block - Whilst we do have a Room Block with Walt Disney World - which you can utilise for one night or almost your entire trip, we have made some recommendations for other accommodations in the area.

Universal Orlando Resort - Features a selection of themed hotels at different price ranges to suit most budgets. They also offer free Universal trnasportation to their theme parks and have ticket & hotel packages available on their website.
Disney Springs/Lake Buena Vista Area - This area has many different hotel chains, from Holiday Inn to Hilton, and offer some Disney perks like free Disney transportation and walking paths to Disney Springs.
International Drive - I-Drive is home to hundred of hotels to suit any budget. They are mostly located centrally between Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld, as well as often within walking distance to the many of International Drive's own attractions and shopping. Just remember that you will likely need a rental car or rely on Ubers to get to the theme parks.
Walt Disney World - There are more than 25 Disney Resorts to choose from. Their categories include Value, Moderate and Deluxe. We recommend looking on Disneyholidays.co.uk to check out what offers are available for UK visitors. Booking a Disney Resort also unlocks the potential to save some money on theme park tickets and Disney dining. They also have free Disney transportation, extra time in the parks each morning and more.
Airbnb/Vrbo/Villa - Holiday rentals and villas are in an abundance in Orlando. If you choose to book one of these options, know you will likely need a rental car to get to the parks, as well as shopping like Walmart and Publix. Be sure to confirm the location isn't too far from the action and double check the fees as they can sometimes be very high. For a villa, you may consider looking at a package deal with an airline like Virgin Holidays or TUI.

We would recommend buying your theme park tickets through Attraction Tickets Direct which we've found has always been the cheapest place to buy park tickets.
They regularly have sales and deals available, including 14 day Disney tickets for the price of 7. We've also found their black Friday sales to be the best time to buy for Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld.
If you choose to book a hotel with one of the theme parks you may be able to add tickets onto your package at a discounted rate.

Theme park reservations are not required for multi-day date-based tickets. For other admission types, including non-dated tickets, theme park reservations may be required. It goes without saying, there is a lot to do in Orlando. Whether you just visit the theme parks or explore further afield, you're going to find plenty of options to keep you entertained.
ORLANDO is home to Walt Disney World's 4 theme parks, 2 water parks and Disney Springs shopping/dining district. Universal Orlando Resort features 3 theme parks (including the brand new Epic Universe), as well as their water park. You'll also find SeaWorld, Discovery Cove and Aquatica.
Orlando also has plenty of shopping, from outlets to designer malls. Small attractions like Fun Spot and mini golf, as well as hundreds of other activites.
TAMPA is located just over an hour from Orlando and is where you'll find Busch Gardens theme park, LEGOLand Florida and Peppa Pig World. Just past Tampa is Clearwater, one of Central Florida's most popular beaches.
CAPE CANAVERAL can be found on Florida's Space Coast, and there's a reason for the name. Here you'll find the Kennedy Space Centre Visitor Centre (aka NASA), as well as Cocoa Beach and Port Canaveral for anyone looking to add a cruise to their Florida adventure.
Orlando International Airport (MCO) is the closest major airport to Walt Disney World.
Other airports, slightly further away include Sanford (approx 45 min drive to Disney) and Tampa (approx 1 hr 15 mins from Disney).
There are plenty of ways to travel from MCO or anyother airport in the Orlando area.
From Orlando International Airport, you can choose from the following:

UK citizens need an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) to enter the US.
Apply well in advance at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov
Canadian citizens do not need an ESTA or a visa for short visits to the United States, including for tourism or attending events like a wedding. You can simply enter with a valid Canadian passport.
US citizens do not need any documents, besides valid ID to travel within the United States.
Whether you're flying in from the UK or Canada, here are a few key things to know for a smooth arrival into the United States:

Travel insurance is highly recommended — healthcare costs in the U.S. can be high without it.

Allow extra time at border control, especially during peak travel times.
Be honest and clear when answering the customs officer’s questions (e.g., attending a wedding, staying at a Disney hotel, etc.).
U.S. border agents may collect biometric data (e.g., fingerprints and a photo).
📵 Digital Entry Tips
Make sure your mobile phone is unlocked or check your roaming plan before arrival.
Many guests opt for an eSIM or local SIM for cheaper U.S. data plans.
